OPA ROSA
Fast gaining a reputation as one of Bristol's most energetic, virtuosic bands, Opa Rosa are steeped in the Klezmer, Balkan, Greek & Roma traditions. With decades of study between them, the quintet capture the joy and sorrow of traditional Eastern European music, adding their own pulsing contemporary twist. Violin, clarinet, accordion, double bass & percussion intertwine to create grooving rhythms, soaring melodies & rich, nuanced harmonic structures. Following the release of debut album 'A Feast from the East' Opa Rosa has toured internationally, captivating audiences with their high-energy performances. Recent gigs include sold-out shows at Bristol Beacon, Green Note (London), The Cornish Bank (Falmouth), Jamboree (London) & festivals, including Secret Garden Party.
