About us

The next edition of the Port of Plymouth Sailing Association's Dinghy Regatta will take place over the 15th and 16th of June 2019. It is anticipated that around 100 racing dinghies will be taking part.

Entry is open to all racing sailing dinghies and small multihulls.

There is a class entry for novices who are learning to sail, in their first season of racing and have not raced outside of their local club. The racing for this class will be conducted within the Cattewater and can be watched from the Mountbatten peninsular.

The event will launch from the Mountbatten Centre and is being used by three dinghy classes as a championship event. As well as creating several 2019 regatta champions it will also produce at least three national champions as well.

The event will have some live streaming through the plymouth regatta facebook page or you can watch the action from several vantage points around Plymouth Sound.

Plymouth Sound is a fantastic and very unique venue for watersports. It plays host to a huge variety of water borne activity and events each year. With its natural amphitheatre formation, the South West's major city is a gateway to Cornwall and two national moorland parks it offers something for everyone whether competing or shore crew.

The PPSA welcomes contributors, volunteers and sponsorship to the event. If you'd like to get involved in any way then please contact the event director and organisers through the contact details shown above.
