About us
Creating an impact from local to global
Returning for the third year, the annual festival showcases the outstanding research carried out by the University of Plymouth in collaboration with colleagues and partners locally, nationally and internationally.
The week-long programme spans the breadth of research undertaken at the University, from global environmental challenges and our relationship with the ocean, to examining the brain, the body, and the role of technology in improving healthcare; from digital visualisation, arts and heritage, and digital rights, to marking the Mayflower 400 commemorations with a contemporary response to our history and heritage.
• How do we respond to global environmental challenges affecting our biodiversity?
• Can we protect our children from the dangers on the internet?
• What does a future of clean growth from natural resources look like?
• How does chocolate relate to clinical trials?
These are just some of the questions our academics will delve into, inviting fellow researchers, partners, businesses, students, and the public to find out how to get involved with an assortment of research projects and initiatives, participate in intriguing discussions, open the door to new collaborations, and discover how your own research or business could be impacted.
