About us
It's Party Time and we're celebrating the opening of Plymouth's iconic Royal Cinema, 88 years ago, back in July 1938. You might better remember it as The ABC or The Reel.
Sadly the building is somewhat less-elegant than when it opened 88 years ago but we are definitely celebrating the fact that this beautiful Art Deco building hasn't (yet) been demolished. We've a license to throw a 'pavement party' with live music on Saturday 25 July and would love you to come along (between 1 and 6pm) sing along to some popular music, take part in our quiz and share your memories of the building with us.
