Embarkation: 10th May at 16:00 — Plymouth
Flexible disembarkation: 15th-16th May — Bilbao

From the Pirates Weekend onto a true adventure.

In short: Sail on Atyla from the Pirates Weekend in Plymouth (UK) through the English Channel and the Biscay Bay. Spend 4 days at sea with a nice stop in the middle and then have a chance to explore Bilbao.

TRIP DESCRIPTION:
Atyla truly looks like a pirate ship, and in 2020 she participates for the first time on the famous Pirates Weekend at the Plymouth's waterfront to become one of the main highlights of the event. This trip is your chance to become part of this historical moment!

You'll embark in on the last day of the Pirates Weekend to meet the other adventurers on board, get the safety instructions, and hear the basics about the life on board and the voyage plan. The next morning we'll leave from Sutton Harbour and set sail.

During the trip, we'll use the experiences and the challenges on board to work on life skills such as teamwork, emotional intelligence and intercultural communication. This will give depth to the experience and will help everyone reflect on their own life as individuals.

After crossing the English Chanel, unless the weather doesn't allow it, we'll also anchor somewhere along the coast (either in France or Spain). We'll be able to jump from the ship and go for a swim and go to land to explore the place with the other adventurers on board.

If you embark as a participant you’ll be expected to help out with the duties on board. If you want to be liberated from the duties on board (or choose when to participate and when not) you can book this trip as a passenger.

On the 15th of May at 13:30 we'll arrive at our home port in the centre of Bilbao, by the Itsasmuseum. You can choose to disembark that same afternoon if you need to go back home, but if you have time you can stay one more day on board. That night we'll all celebrate the arrival with a group dinner at a local restaurant. The day after you can go explore Bilbao with your shipmates, join a guided tour in the city, visit some museums...

If you want a longer adventure, including the stay at the Pirates Weekend, you can do the trip from Bilbao to Plymouth. If you do both trips you can get a 10% discount by booking them with the code "2PIRATETRIPS".
