About us

The Great Sea Choir (Plymouth) and Wheelhouse Folk Choir (Tavistock) join forces for an epic summer concert of a cappella folk songs. This will be an evening of songs for the season, directed by Julu Irvine and Heg Brignall (Suthering). The choirs sing unique arrnagements written by Julu and Heg. From traditional summer songs to folk songs by contemporary artists like Gnoss, Salt House, The Breath, Eoghan O Ceannabhain, Karine Polwart, Mipso and many more.

Each choir will perform songs from their summer repertoire before coming together as a ninety-strong mega choir to perform songs from the BBC Radio 2 Folk Award winning Songs of Separation album, specially arranged for choirs.
