The Voyage of Discovery Research Fair opens the University of Plymouth campus for a full day of free, hands-on research, live demonstrations and conversations with the scientists, engineers, artists and researchers doing world-class work right here in Plymouth.
Explore marine science, digital technology, environmental research, architecture, the arts and much more! All brought to life through interactive activities designed for curious people of all ages. Whether you are eight or eighty, a scientist yourself or someone who has never set foot in a university, this is a day built for you.
Talk to researchers about their work. Ask the questions you have always wanted to ask. Get your hands on the science. Find out how research into our oceans, our cities, our climate and our communities is shaping the world we all live in.
Including live shows and demonstrations on the stage, plus screenings in our Immersive Vision Theatre throughout the day.
The Research Fair follows the flagship European Researchers' Night on Friday 25 September, with events taking place across Plymouth at The Box, Market Hall Devonport, Plymouth city centre and more. Saturday is your chance to come to the heart of it all.
Free entry. All ages welcome. Booking recommended to guarantee your place - drop-in welcome on the day.
