About us
With Flying Colours is a Plymouth Cultural Education Partnership project working in Plymouth!
We are one of five Youth Performance Partnerships across the country. We aim to:
-create more performance experiences and opportunities for young people
-enable new creative talent to be supported and developed
- create more equitable access to the creative arts (particularly focusing on areas of high disadvantage and low engagement)
With Flying Colours works with 11 schools across 2 hubs of Plymouth: Devonport & Stonehouse and Whitleigh & Southway.
Since September, the Barbican Theatre team have been working with the Year 3s at High Street Primary School.
Both year 3 classes at the school have been exploring imaginary journeys and physical adventures. With dance and parkour, they have built journeys across the space, taking giant leaps, confident jumps and powerful travelling that starts off in the school hall and takes flight over Plymouth rooftops, into the jungle and the circus.
