Santa Claus, Father Christmas, Saint Nicholas – whatever you call him, it wouldn’t be Christmas without a visit from everyone’s favourite festive character.

Luckily he’s making plenty of appearances in Plymouth this Christmas giving young family members lots of opportunities to pass on their wish lists and make some special memories. But be quick, lots of places need bookings and they are very popular!

Here’s where you can find him this year…

  

Winter Wonderland at Central Park

Central Park will be turned into a Winter Wonderland from 24 November to 1 January! There's plenty of festive-fun to be had with the whole family. Takea walk through the Enchanted Forest to meet Santa and his elves, where you will receive a special gift and capture the moment with a professional photo! There's also an undercover ice rink, big top with live music, rides, a bar, stalls and plenty more to enjoy.

  

The Box

Get into the Christmas spirit and enjoy a special 'Breakfast with Santa' in The Box Kitchen & Bar on Saturdays and Sundays from 2-17 December, plus Thursday 21 and Friday 22 December.

  

The Barbican and Sutton Harbour 

Grab your Christmas hat and a warm coat and head to the dazzling Barbican Christmas lights switch on Saturday 18 November, and join in the free Christmas family-fun and entertainment! You will have the chance to visit Santa in his Grotto on Southside Street throughout the day (pre-booking essential), before he sets off to gather his companions and arrive by the RNLI boat to turn on the Christmas lights.

Don't miss the Santa Fun Run on 3 December, with hundreds of Santas travelling around the waterfront in aid of Jeremiah's Journey and Shekinah.

  

Plymouth city centre

You can find Santa in his Grotto on the piazza daily from 30 November 23 December. Kids can choose a gift and have a photo taken with the big man himself. Your photos can also be turned into a special keepsake or gift for loved ones.

   

Pennywell Farm

Pennywell Farm becomes a magical winter wonderland at Christmas! Experience the Christmas Nativity in the barn, starring some real life furry friends, before enjoying some tasty festive treats and then meeting Father Christmas in the sparkly enchanted forest – he has a special gift for every child. 

  

Plymouth Boat Trips

Enjoy the Kids Santa's Christmas Disco on selected weekends in December. A fun packed festive children’s party and cruise for the whole family to enjoy. With festive music, face painting and a visit from Santa all on-board, it’s the best Christmas party in town!

  

Saltram

The beloved Father Christmas will be back again this December at Saltram with new exciting stories and songs to share! He will be setting up his cosy room in the stables to share a festive story and some songs. At the end of the Storytime there is an opportunity to say 'Hi' to the big man and grab a selfie if you want one. Every child gets a very special keepsake to take home.

   

Dartmoor Zoo

Santa Claus is coming to Dartmoor Zoo! Join them for a morning of Festive Banqueting, Christmassy Crafts, access around the Zoo before they open to the public, a chance to meet and receive a gift from the Big Jolly Man himself. Available on 9 and 10, 16 and 17 and 21 to 23 December.

  

China Fleet Country Club

Hop across the river Tamar to experience Santa’s Grotto at China Fleet Country Club in Saltash on 10 and 17 December. You’ll celebrate in style with a traditional 2 course Christmas lunch before meeting Santa and his elves. There’s plenty of mulled wine and festive cheer guaranteed. 

  

Boringdon Hall

The festive Afternoon Tea with a visit from Santa at Boringdon Hall is the perfect way to spend the afternoon together as a family getting into the festive spirit. Meet Santa Claus himself to receive a Christmas present as he visits the tables to add a sprinkle of festive magic in the run up to Christmas Day. Available on Sunday 10 and 17 December.

   

Plymouth's Winter City

Meet Santa at Plymouth's Winter City from 16 November to 1 January, held at Treeby Court. Bring your letter to Santa to post in his special post box – make sure you stay on the Good List! Each visit includes two gifts and you’ll be able to take your own photos with the Big Man himself.
