From world-class performances and chart-topping artists to tribute bands and sea shanty favourites, there’s plenty to enjoy for music lovers in Britain’s Ocean City.
Whether you’re a local or visiting for a weekend, Plymouth’s live gigs, music festivals, and concerts in 2026 promise unforgettable experiences all year round.

Discovery Festival in Central Park
A new music festival for the Plymouth calendar, Discovery Festival comes to Plymouth’s Central Park this summer, bringing 3 days of live music to Plymouth from 12-14 June. Acts including Five, OMD, The Libertines, feeder, The Wanted 2.0, Blue, Level 42, Kim Wilde and more are coming to the festival!
Tickets can be purchased from the Discovery Festival website with one-day, two-day and three-day tickets available for performances across the weekend, as well as tickets to the exclusive VIP Garden.
Saturday Sessions at Old Town Square
Back by popular demand, Saturday Sessions in Old Town Square returns to Plymouth City Centre on the first weekend of every month. Hosted at the event area outside of Drake Circus Shopping Centre, watch popular bands and local favourites perform throughout the afternoon. Saturday Sessions runs from April until September.
Morvala Festival
Morvala Festival of Arts is a bold new celebration of music, culture, and connection. Set against the stunning backdrop of Mt Edgcumbe Estate just over the water from Plymouth, this four-day festival combines world-class performances with a vibrant, family-friendly atmosphere.
With five live stages, Morvala brings together international headliners, rising stars, and local favourites—plus pop-up performances, workshops, wellness sessions, theatre, comedy, literature, and more. A landmark celebration of creativity by the sea.
Armed Forces Day Live Concert
There’s a free night of live music taking place at Plymouth Armed Forces Day on Saturday 27 June. A day of celebrating the Armed Forces culminates in a music festival on Plymouth Hoe.
Taking place from 5.30pm-10.30pm see local bands such as Marmalade, Riviera Dogs and The Vibes perform as well as a tribute to Elton John to finish the evening.
Ruckus Live
Ruckus Live is back for a second year at Brickfields, the home of Plymouth Albion. The two-day festival takes place on 4-5 July with The Linkin Park Experience headlining on the Friday before The Hoosiers headline on the Saturday.
Live at the Amphitheatre
Another new live music event in Plymouth, Live at the Amphitheatre takes place on the second weekend of every month at the new Amphitheatre performance space on Armada Way in Plymouth city centre. The music programme includes performances from local bands, young artists and performance groups and takes place from April until September.
Plymouth Arena
Plymouth Arena hosts a range of live music performances throughout the year. Shows include Arena Takeover, Hard Dance, UB40, Rumours of Fleetwood Mac, The Proclaimers and more to look forward to in 2026.
Flavour Fest music stage
There’s three days of live music at Flavour Fest 2026 in Plymouth city centre. The food festival takes place from 29-31 May, as well as the great food on show there’s live music to accompany the fun with a range of local bands performing across the weekend.
Home Park Stadium events
Plymouth Argyle’s Home Park Stadium hosts a series of live music events in its fan zone outside the ground. Amongst the festivals include the Rum and Reggae Festival, Country Fever and This Ain’t Texas among the shows to look forward to.
Plymstock Festival by the sea
A weekend of tribute music is coming to Plymstock in June. Taking place on 12-13 June, Plymstock Festival by the sea hosts tributes to Oasis, Queen, The Killers, Arctic Monkeys and more overlooking the Mew Stone near Plymouth.
