About us

Join 'Funny Women' award winner, 'Plymouth Comedy Tours' guide and ‘Proper Janner’ Suzy Bennett on a joyful walking tour celebrating the life and work of the wonderful Beryl Cook. The tour will start and finish at The Box.

Suzy will show you the Plymouth that inspired Beryl in her iconic paintings of ‘ordinary people enjoying themselves’, stopping to meet the colourful characters that have been immortalised in sculptures around the city as well as encountering some lively locals that Beryl would surely have been keen to sketch.

Come and experience the fun side of the city centre and its people, and The Hoe and Barbican that Beryl loved so much, before returning to The Box for a well-earned drink, cake and good natter.

Expect laughter, locals and leopard print with this one-of-a-kind tour that honours an instantly recognisable and much-loved artist who we are lucky enough to call our own.

‘Suzy is delightful company' - Metro
