About us
Due to the most recent government guidance about mass gatherings due to COVID-19 (coronavirus), this event has sadly been cancelled or postponed until further notice.
Set in idyllic surroundings on the edge of Dartmoor, Craft Festival Bovey Tracey is returning for the 17th year at Mill Marsh Park, Bovey Tracey from June 12-14th. So, what's new for the multi-award winning Craft Festival as it enters into the new decade?
From series 3 of the Great Pottery Throwdown on Channel 4, Craft Festival Bovey Tracey is delighted that judge, Keith Brymer-Jones, will be opening the event and talking to visitors at a very special "Audience with…." On the opening day, Friday June 12th
Keith will give a Pottery Masterclass and then joined by fellow judge, Sue Pryke, award winning designer and Craft Festival exhibitor, for an exclusive Q&A about their lives in craft & design.
As well as meeting and buying from over 200 of the finest Makers from across the UK there is a hand-picked collection of makers demonstrating their craft throughout the weekend.
Getting hands-on is a big part of the Festival, we're so excited that Model Maker extraordinaire, Jim Parkyn, Senior Model Maker at Oscar Winning, Bristol-based Aardman Animations, will be there, Jim is the man responsible for creating some of the UK's most loved Plasticine characters from Morph to Shaun the Sheep.
Sol Cinema is the smallest, solar powered, cinema-in-a-vintage-caravan, in the World. There will be a touch of nostalgia this year as the nation commemorates Victory in Europe's 75th Anniversary. To honour this Craft Festival visitors can embrace the 1940's on Saturday 13th June through fashion and music. Dress up in your favourite 1940's style and listen to great music from the era.
