Plymouth's newest contemporary art gallery is to open shortly and will launch with an exhibition that showcases the bestselling artist in the UK today.And their first launch exhibition and sale is something of a coup: they have managed to persuade one of the most sought-after artists of today to showcase his most recent series of paintings. Edward Waite will fill the new gallery with three of his latest collections, none of which have been seen in Plymouth before…
The young and incredibly dynamic artist will be exhibiting works from 'Metropolis'- global landmarks with precious metal leaf work;'Neutrals' - designer cityscapes in Farrow and Ball colourways as well as his impressive new 'Resin Collection'. The exhibition, Edward Waite …The Return, will run from Friday 30 March until Sunday 15 April when it will be replaced by another exciting collection by another sought-after artist. As an added bonus for local Waite fans, Edward will be in residence in the gallery for the first two days of the exhibition (Friday 30 – Saturday 31 March), creating a'live studio' where gallery visitors will have the rare opportunity to meet and talk to him as he creates new works in his fluid cityscape style…
