About us

Join Phoenix Chorale for a new programme of choir music this winter, featuring Ola Gjeilo's evocative Sunrise Mass. Sunrise: Symphonic Mass for Choir and String Orchestra had its world première in Oslo in 2008. Talented, contemporary Norwegian composer Gjeilo skilfully creates aural pictures within the music and weaves them into a beautiful, spiritual and contemplative journey. In addition, the choir will perform works by Gerald Finzi, Eric Whitacre, John Rutter, Charles Villiers Stanford, plus Christmas carols.
