About us

It has been an incredible summer for Plymouth and Elmer the Patchwork Elephant. Since the launch of the Big Parade in July, a stampede of dedicated trail-goers have spent the holidays searching for this adorable character throughout the city and Mount Edgcumbe Country Park. Which one was your favourite? Did you find them all?

Don't worry, if not. Our celebratory Farewell Weekend will be your last chance to see all the Elmers (large and small) under one roof. This will be an opportunity to say goodbye to your favourites and meet any that you may have missed, before they pack their trunks.

The first session of each day is a quieter session - with fewer places available and a more relaxed atmosphere, set aside for those with additional needs and their carers and are open to all ages.

So, say a mammoth THANK YOU to St Luke's Hospice Plymouth for turning our summer patchwork and providing a free mass participation public art trail by joining us for this unique weekend event: and don't forget, following the Farewell Weekend each of the beautifully designed large Elmer sculptures will be auctioned to raise funds for St Luke's, enabling us to continue to provide our outstanding compassionate care.
