About us
MBA Beach Rangers aims to engage and educate the Plymouth community on the importance of our local marine sites through positive messages of its interest and diversity. Throughout August, we will therefore be running FREE beach sessions three times a week at three different local sites (Teat's Hill, Devil's Point and Kinterbury Creek), where we will be holding rockpooling sessions, snorkeling, beach cleans, games, arts and crafts and more.
The Beach Rangers Project is part of a regular summer programme run by the Marine Biological Association (MBA), which is a charity and a learned society that aims to promote scientific research into all aspects of life in the sea, including the environment on which it depends, and to disseminate to the public knowledge gained.
It is a fantastic opportunity for children to get outside and explore their blue spaces over the summer holidays. They will have the chance to learn about the marine environment and connect with it, encouraging a desire to help protect it.
You can find further information on our Facebook page @MBABeachRangers and follow us on Twitter (@PlymBlueSound) for more details about past and current events.
These are FREE session, no booking is required. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
