About us

The Wranglers Theatre Company presents...MOTHER GOOSE The most 'Eggcellent' Family Pantomime.

In the whimsical village of Codswallop, deep within the heart of Cornwall, you'll find Mother Goose and her lovable son, Kevin, tending to their cherished orphanage as they provide a haven for the village's most endearing scamps. Yet, their tranquil existence is soon disrupted by the arrival of the dastardly landlord, Sir Jasper Pillock, and his mischievous henchman, Stinkweasel. These two wicked troublemakers are determined to make Mother Goose's life a topsy-turvy mess by hiking up the rent.

But, fear not, for a dash of enchantment enters the scene! It's none other than our delightful narrator, Fairy Dawn, who also happens to be Mother Goose's very own Cornish fairy godmother. She conjures up a brilliant plan to rescue Mother Goose and Kevin, and it involves a rather extraordinary character: Gertrude, a goose with the magical gift of laying golden eggs.

And now, the plot thickens in true panto style! A band of French pirates sails into Codswallop, lured by tales of hidden treasures in the village from their spies who had previously been sent ashore. Led by the fearsome Capitaine La Merde, they're all set for an adventure like no other. But amidst the swashbuckling, an unexpected romance blossoms. Capitaine La Merde's daughter, Fleur, weary of her pirate life, crosses paths with Kevin, and sparks fly in every direction. It's a delightful mix of comedy, adventure, and romance, where the fate of the orphanage rests on a golden goose, and maybe love might just conquer all in the true spirit of pantomime merriment!

Evening Performance at 7.30pm and Saturday Matinee at 2.30pm

Panto Disclaimer:
We want to make sure everyone has a great time at Panto! While it's incredibly entertaining, there are some pretty loud moments and a tongue-in-cheek style of humour that is geared towards grown-up audience members. If you are bringing children under the age of 5 or anyone who's a little bit more nervous or of a sensitive disposition, please keep this in mind.
