About us

Our programme for the summer concert this year features the rhythmic and expressive oratorio Every Purpose Under The Heaven by Howard Goodall. This work was written in celebration of the 1611 King James Bible's 400-year anniversary and comprises a choice of texts from Genesis through to Revelation. We are delighted to be joined by a small musical ensemble and soloists Jessica Farrow (soprano) and Mark Hounsell (Tenor).
Goodall is well known for his choral works and his scores for musical theatre and television of which the most recognisable are Mr Bean, The Vicar of Dibley, Red Dwarf and Blackadder.
We will also perform a selection of pieces by other composers, including John Rutter, Dan Forrest, Marta Keen, James Whitbourn and Patrick Hawes.
There will be refreshments in the interval and a raffle, so please bring cash.
