About us
This year's Plymouth History Festival is online from 8-31 May, highlighting Plymouth's brilliant heritage sector and sharing content online about its rich and fascinating history.Join us each day for insightful features from our event partners, archive images and film, family history, historical figures and more. We'll also be hosting fun activities for all ages including a fancy dress competition, a quiz and colouring challenges of local landmarks.
We are also sharing personal histories of Plymouth. Do you or anyone you know have photographs, documents or objects that record an interesting or exciting moment in the city's past? How about a picture of yourself at the opening of the Pavilions or the poll tax march, or a newspaper from the day you were born? Do you have your uncle's war diaries, your mum's Lord Mayor's Day outfit or a till receipt from the old C&A hidden away at home? Share an image of your social media channels during the Festival using #MyPlymouthHistory.
