About us
Dartmoor is one of the most beautiful places in the UK with not many roads but plenty of wild food and clean growing environments for the freshest tasting plants we find anywhere. We will meet at The Cleave Inn in Lustleigh at 12pm. The course starts there with a 30 minute introduction on what to look for and a brief of the general countryside codes where they relate to foragers.
After the talk we'll set off for a 2-3 hour walk in the local area, around the woods fields and hedgerows, identifying the different edible and poisonous plants, flowers and mushrooms that we find. We will stop somewhere along the way for some of our tasty hogweed and wild garlic soup.
Once back at The Cleave we'll prepare what we have found on the walk and have our wild food lunch. This could be anything from wild mushroom pasta to wild garlic pesto with comfrey fritters; it all depends on what we find.
There are limited spaces available so please book your place online.
