About us

The University of Plymouth Orchestra is a community orchestra made up of students, staff and friends of the university.

Our ethos is to reach out to the community of Plymouth by providing free concerts, giving everyone the opportunity to hear classical music.

We give three concerts each year and are are proud to present our next concert of 'Summer Classics' on Saturday 7th June in the Levinsky Hall on the main campus of the university.

We will run an informal afternoon concert from 3-4pm where everyone is welcome to come and go as they please, and children can move around whilst they enjoy the music.

We also hope to welcome you to a formal evening concert from 7.30pm and refreshments afterwards provided by members of the orchestra.

Both our concerts are FREE but we would welcome donations to our costs so that we can keep putting on concerts for everyone into the future. We will have donation buckets at the venue for any cash you can spare.
