About us

Indulge in the annual tradition of glassmaking at Teign Valley Glass Studio, and infuse your festive season with a touch of magic by crafting your very own handmade bauble.

This special workshop offers the perfect opportunity to create cherished memories with loved ones as you each take a turn at the craft or create a unique present, even for the most difficult-to-shop-for individuals.

The workshop's main attraction is the chance to craft your own stunning bauble that sparkles and catches the light in mesmerising ways. Add your choices of frit (the coloured part) to the molten clear glass to bring your creation to life, and shape it at the end of a punt (metal rod). Breathe down through the tube and watch as the control of air shapes your bauble into a sphere.

As you continue shaping and refining your masterpiece, add the finishing touch by gently curving an extra piece of molten glass on top, around to create a loop. This loop elegantly hangs your creation from your Christmas tree.

After the workshop, your creation will require 2-3 days to cool down in the annealer. You can choose home delivery* or pick it up at your convenience.
